Reporting an error
Please include the address of the page, the figure or sentence you think is wrong, and a link to a source for the right information if you have one. We check every report against the source. Our corrections page explains what happens next.
Questions about your own job
We have no crew and do no jobs, so we can’t price your project, inspect your home, review your quote or recommend a contractor. Our cost pages and calculators show what a quote should cover and which questions to ask. A licensed local contractor prices the real job, and your local building or permit office decides what it requires. In an emergency, such as a gas smell, call 911.
Contractors, advertisers and companies
We don’t sell sponsored posts, links, reviews, listings or placements, and we don’t take affiliate deals, sell leads or make contractor referrals. If you publish a figure we cite, or make or sell a product we describe, and a fact on our page is wrong, send a source and we will check it like any other report.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle what you send us. Please don’t send personal financial details.
